On the afternoon of June 5 2009, the award ceremony of “Tsinghua’s Friend----Kuangji Award and Grants” was held at Jiasuo Conference Room of Tsinghua University. The couple of Wang Junxiong, the donor and Taiwanese entrepreneur, attended the ceremony. The representatives of the award-winning students reported their own study and living conditions to the couple. Mr. Wang said, despite his limited ability, he still hoped to try his best to light the kindling of love and pass it on to more people through students, so that we would be surrounded by love and humanistic care. Yang Jiaqing, Vice Chairman of TUEF, spoke highly of the benevolence of the couple for their enthusiasm for public welfare and educational undertakings. Xiang Hui, Deputy Head of the Students’ Affairs Division, chaired the ceremony.
